​Kokosing Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an individual to manage the material trucking needs for heavy highway projects.  Initial focus will be to organize a working fleet of subcontract haulers in the Southwest Ohio marketplace with the secondary focus in the central Ohio area. 

Responsibilities

• Develop a fleet of subcontract haulers that are signatory to the Kokosing General Trucking Agreement.
  • Particular attention to identifying, signing and managing Certified DBE’s and Owner/Operators.
• Assist the Estimating Staff by advising on Hauler capabilities.
• Manage project trucking needs through close collaboration with various project staff.
• Advise the truck dispatching staff.
• Develop and maintain relationships within general local marketplace to expand Kokosing resources.
• Become familiar with the Ohio Unified Certification Program (DBE certification process).
• Identify haulers who are potential DBE firms and assist them in becoming Certified DBE.
• Daily travel throughout focus areas is required.

Desired Education, Training and Experience:

• Minimum of High School Diploma with extensive experience in the Heavy Civil Construction Industry. (post-secondary education preferred)
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
• Valid driver’s license
