Summary: 
Kokosing is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to support our accounting department in the Fredericktown, Ohio office. This position will report to the Controller and is responsible for managing a team of four individuals to ensure the timely and accurate processing and analysis of all accounts payable transactions.
 
Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the workflow of assigned staff to ensure timely and accurate recording and payment of invoices, subcontractor payments, employee expenses, and any other non-payroll cash disbursements
• Manage all aspects of the sales and use tax process, including oversight of the sales and use tax returns, reviewing transactions for proper application of tax, manage sales tax exemption certificates, and reconciling the sales and use tax accounts
• Correspond with personnel throughout the organization to ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices and other AP transactions
• Manage the month-end close process for the accounts payable department
• Monitor accuracy of new vendor setup process
• Provide support as needed for the annual financial statement audit
• Issue annual Form 1099’s in accordance with IRS guidelines

 
Qualifications:
 
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required

 
Work Experience:

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience
• Prior supervisory/management experience is required
• Construction experience is preferred
• Sales and use tax background is preferred
