Job Description:

The position is responsible for management of the Kokosing Construction Company Heavy Industrial Division Quality Control Program and quality management processes including; revisions to  the Heavy Industrial Division procedures and policies to be ISO 9001 compliant (goal is general compliance, not actual certification), direct oversight and management of the QA/QC program, training of Heavy Industrial Division personnel for QA/QC and quality management processes and interaction with Heavy Industrial Division project teams, departments and personnel. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of the Kokosing Heavy Industrial Division.

Required Education, Training and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and/or construction management.
• QA/QC knowledge and certifications relevant to the heavy industrial construction industry (ACI, AISC, AWS, ASME). Accreditation as an AWS CWI is desired.  
• Minimum 10 years of field experience in heavy industrial construction (experience in planning, fabrication and construction of industrial piping and mechanical systems is desired).
• Broad knowledge and understanding of various construction materials, methods and techniques as related to civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and welding scopes of work.
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, smartphones and associated software utilized in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English language.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.

Duties:

• Review and revision of company procedures and policies to be generally compliant with ISO 9001 (not certified), including documentation and enforcement of QA/QC policies.
• Updating of QA/QC manual, processes and/or procedures to ensure quality.
• Management of the overarching Heavy Industrial Division QA/QC programs and quality Management Processes, including implementation and auditing at construction project sites.
• Provide training to company personnel for continuous improvement of QA/QC program and management processes.
• Collect, track and maintain quality certification documentation for all employees.
• Primary point of contact for corporate quality certifications (AISC certified steel erector, etc.)
• Work with and communicate effectively with external customers to collect client feedback and complaints relevant to quality, then implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Travel on an overnight basis, occasionally, to perform audits and support field construction projects.
