Summary:
The Project Design Manager would be responsible to pursue, procure, plan, develop, coordinate, and manage the design and construction engineering activities for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant and other industrial alternative delivery projects. 
 
Responsibilities:​
• Business development and client interaction to secure alternative delivery projects. 
• Hire consulting engineers and manage project design including engineering and related personnel functions and activities. Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements support overall construction schedule.
Responsible for all pre-construction services and design-build services for the project. 
• Supervise associates involved with project; includes personnel planning and administration, work assignments, evaluations, wage increases/promotions, retention, etc.
• Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of deign conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents (submittals, RFI’s, expediting material deliveries, payment of Subcontractors/Vendors and Owner pay requests).
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of design and construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
• Significant travel is involved with the position.
 
Qualifications:​
• Minimum 4-year engineering degree and related experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years water/wastewater design and/or construction engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of water/wastewater design and construction engineering technology, codes, standards, energy savings, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines. 
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana is required.
