Site Quality Manager
This position is responsible for the implementation and management of Kokosing Industrial’s Quality Control Program and quality management procedures at one or more heavy industrial project sites. Responsibilities may include: development of project-specific Quality Plans, direct oversight of the field-based QC program (including field QC staff), performing site quality inspections, managing record retention and client reporting requirements, tracking non-conformance from inception to completion of CAPA, coordinating with corporate quality assurance efforts, and training of Kokosing Industrial personnel on quality control procedures. This is a site-based position that reports to the corporate Quality Manager of Kokosing Industrial.

Duties:
  • Review project quality requirements to develop Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Assist Kokosing Industrial management in evaluation and staffing of field-based QC technicians.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the project quality staff, including day-to-day management of QC technicians and any 3rd party QC entities.
  • Administration of the Kokosing Quality Management System (ISO 9001 framework) as it relates to project quality control.
  • Updating of quality control procedures with the goal of continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration with the Kokosing quality assurance program and personnel, including required audits.
  • Provide training to company personnel for Quality Control Program procedures and processes.
  • Collect, track and maintain project quality records and documentation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with Kokosing’s client as it relates to the project quality control program
  • Perform field quality control inspections
  • Lead investigations into identified quality non-conformance issues, all the way through to completion of the corrective/preventative action(s).
  • Participate in ensuring compliance with corporate quality certifications (AISC, etc.)

Required Education, Training and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, construction management, or other applicable field.
  • Quality control knowledge and certifications relevant to the heavy industrial construction industry (ACI, AISC, AWS, ASME). Accreditation as an AWS CWI is desired.
  • Minimum 7 years of field experience in heavy industrial construction (experience in field-level quality control of industrial piping, mechanical, and electrical systems is desired).
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of various construction materials, methods and techniques as related to civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and welding scopes of work.
  • Applicable industry experience in developing Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans
  • Proficiency with computers, tablets, smartphones and associated software utilized in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English language.
