Kokosing Construction is looking for Field Surveyors and Office Surveyors for their Heavy Highway operations. Summary
The Office Surveyor will work in the Columbus office preparing information for field survey crews, estimators, and machine control. The Field Surveyor will work closely with Kokosing supervision to provide layout for all facets of highway and building construction. Assist with all field and office activities, including scheduling, plan preparation, and construction stakeout, such as as-built surveys, topographical surveys, and field surveying.
Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
- Prioritize layout and do in an efficient and timely manner
- Coordinate with Kokosing, subcontractors, and owner personnel to provide proper field layout
- Perform all work in a safe manner
Skills and Abilities
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Possess strong communication skills
- Ability to climb ladders, work around traffic, and work in various weather conditions
- Mathematical Skills / IT Skills / Analytical Skills
- Understand surveying techniques and use of robotic/gps instruments
- Computer proficiency in CADD and Microsoft Office applications
Education and Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Engineering, or related field
- Valid driver’s license
