Summary
The Welder Mechanic works with welding equipment to inspect, repair and maintain the equipment. They also make sure the machines continue to run safely at optimum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repairs and maintenance on welding equipment.

 
Skills and Abilities

• Possess mechanical skills and be familiar with parts and components of welders, as well as the tools to fix them.
• Possess technical skills and be familiar with electronics
• Ability to read blueprints, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• Possess troubleshooting skills.
• Detail oriented 

Education and Qualifications

• Associates Degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, small engine repair, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Welding, hydraulic, and electrical experience preferred
