Summary:
Perform a broad range of duties as assigned by the Workers’ Compensation Manager including claim analysis, daily oversight of the company’s substance abuse prevention program and coordination, as well as legal support such as tracking, calendaring and filing for legal activities.
Responsibilities:

Process workers’ compensation claims from intake to resolution

Analyze workers’ compensation claims and prepare claim summaries

Determine appropriate reserves for workers’ compensation claims

Attend workers’ compensations hearings

Provide testimony at workers’ compensation hearings

Authorize treatment and benefits for workers’ compensation claims

Advise upper management on claims status
-
Coordinate all activities associated with the company substance abuse prevention program including conducting substance abuse testing, policy administration and compliance, and reporting.

Interact with medical providers and counselors.

Provide support to in-house counsel to maintain tracking, calendaring and filing for legal activities.
- Draft and send out correspondence for medical records and discovery.
